Thin needles are inserted into specific points to enhance the body’s natural healing ability and treat illness and injury. It’s not painful- most clients will fall asleep or enter a state of deep rest during treatment.

During the first treatment, the practitioner will take a complete health history and establish a complete evaluation of the condition you are seeking treatment for. This will include asking you questions about lifestyle habits as well and goals you wish to achieve health-wise. We will feel your pulse, look at your tongue and may palpate specific parts of the body to look for tender areas. The initial treatment may last between one and two hours, and all subsequent treatment are generally one hour.

Treatment frequency varies depending on the patient’s constitution and goals. Part of our initial consultation will be to create a treatment plan that is specific to each patient's needs. In general, we see people once-twice a week so that we can closely monitor their cycle and progress. And as acupuncture works cumulatively, we believe in building a strong foundation, then modifying and customizing as needed. Your treatment plan will be personalized and built to your specific needs and goals!
